Glacier National Park’s free shuttle service on the Going-to-the-Sun Road is scheduled to operate July 1st through Labor Day, weather permitting. The transit system provides complimentary two-way service along Going-to-the-Sun Road between the Apgar Visitor Center and St. Mary Visitor Center. On the west side from the Apgar Visitor Center to Logan Pass, buses run every 30 minutes and every 40 to 60 minutes on the east side. Due to the popularity of the system, shuttles fill up quickly. Seating capacity is limited and you may need to wait for the next shuttle.
Once visitors reach their destinations, shuttle stops feature interpretive and educational information regarding the history and features of the park, Podcasting opportunities, and family-fun activities to help pass the time.
