Step back in time to an era of elegance and culinary prowess at the historic Belton Chalet.

The first of the iconic lodges built by the Great Northern Railroad, the Belton Chalet has served as the original gateway to Glacier National Park for over a century. When it opened its doors in the summer of 1910, the Belton Chalet was viewed as the pinnacle of modern hospitality in the west and welcomed visitors by train from across the country. Known today for its elegant dining experience and culinary prowess, the chalet’s restaurant and tap house offer a gambet of artfully-crafted dishes showcasing locally-sourced ingredients.

Today, we take pride in offering the same unforgettable guest experience as we did the day we first opened our doors. Here at The Belton Chalet, the way it was is the way it truly still is.

Following local health authority recommendation, all of our staff are required to wear a face covering and we ask that all of our guests do the same. With safety as our utmost concern, we will continue to execute rigorous cleaning and social distancing protocols and are working with local health authorities to ensure the well-being of our staff, guests and surrounding community.
