Itinerary

The Day Before Your Trip

Check in at Glacier Raft Company in West Glacier. Your trip leader will review waivers, distribute dry bags and guide you through packing tips for your river adventure.

Day One

Morning

Meet your guides at Glacier Raft Company by 7:30 a.m. for orientation and shuttle to the airport. After a short 45-minute airplane ride, you will land in Shafer Meadow, take a short walk down to the riverbed and embark on your Flathead River journey.

Afternoon

Lunch will be served by your guides. The first day offers thrilling rapids and plenty of time to settle into river life.

Evening

Arrive at camp for a hearty meal prepared by your guides. Swap stories around the campfire and sleep beneath a sky blanketed with stars.

Day Two to Day Four

Each day brings a mix of exciting rapids, potential wildlife sightings and breathtaking scenery. You'll explore the rocky beaches, hike to subalpine lakes, soak up quiet canyon views and enjoy riverside meals at camp each night.

Day Five

Paddle the final stretch of the Middle Fork before shuttling back to West Glacier in the afternoon. You’ll return with lifelong memories — and maybe a few new river friends.
