Deposit Information

  • An advance deposit, per room at each hotel, in the amount of the first night’s stay and tax (less surcharges) is due at the time of booking. The cancellation and change policy below apply to each individual confirmation number and are each subject to the appropriate administrative fees.
  • An advance deposit in the amount of the entire activity is due at the time of booking. The cancellation and change policy below apply to each individual activity and/or confirmation number and are each subject to the appropriate administrative fees.
    • For specialty activities (multiday fishing and multiday rafting trips) 50% of the total trip is due at time of booking.
  • Packages are based on double occupancy and an advance deposit for the entire amount of the package is due at the time of booking. The cancellation and change policy below apply to each individual confirmation number and are each subject to the appropriate administrative fees.
  • Extended cancellation coverage may be purchased within 24 hours of reserving your lodging at a cost of 8% of the total lodging reservation cost (before taxes). Extended cancellation coverage is non-refundable.

 

Check-In & Reservation Policies

  • Check-in time is any time after 4:00 p.m.
  • Check-out time is any time before 11:00 a.m.
  • Check-out time at Paddle Ridge is any time before 10:00 a.m.
  • Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express cards are accepted. Personal checks are not accepted.
    • Credit Card Pre-Authorization: Please be aware that an authorization of up to $250.00 (in addition to room & tax) will be held on your credit card at time of check-in. The hold will be released back to you at check-out and may take 5–7 business days to reappear on your credit card depending on your banking institution.
  • Connecting rooms, roll-a-way beds, cribs and other special requests are subject to availability at check-in and never guaranteed.
  • Parking at the Prince of Wales Hotel is charged at a nightly rate of $12/day for overnight guests and $10/day for day guests. Subject to 5% GST.
  • There are no televisions or air conditioning (except at Grouse Mountain Lodge, West Glacier Village RV Park's Middle Fork Cabins, Paddle Ridge and some rooms at St. Mary Village).
  • Motel Lake McDonald and Paddle Ridge do not have in-room telephones.
  • Stays at Apgar Village & Cabins do not serve as an entry ticket into Glacier National Park.
  • No pets are allowed (except dogs at Grouse Mountain Lodge, Paddle Ridge, and West Glacier Village RV Park).
  • All guest rooms and facilities are non-smoking.

Smoking Policy: All of our Glacier Park Collection rooms and facilities are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas outside the building.

Special Requests: Connecting rooms, rollaway beds*, early check-in, specific floors, views, room numbers and other special requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. We will do our best to accommodate these requests upon check-in.

*Rollaway beds are unavailable at Prince of Wales Hotel.

EcoFund: We are actively working to reduce our environmental impact with GreenStep EcoFund. A $2 per room, per night EcoFee is included with your stay at the Prince of Wales Hotel to invest in efficient technologies, support regional initiatives and track our progress. Stays at Grouse Mountain Lodge from February 20, 2023 are subject to a $12/night amenities fee, paid at check out.

Shuttles between Grouse Mountain Lodge and Kalispell airport are available and requires an 48 hour advanced reservation. Rates each way are $23 per person.

Historic Preservation Fee

As stewards of outstanding historic properties like the Belton Chalet, West Glacier Village and Apgar Village Lodge & Cabins, we feel fortunate to keep the spirit of these iconic places alive. We work hard to maintain and preserve their unique dignity and character through extensive restoration and preservation projects annually, and your visit honors this work. Thank you for helping us preserve and maintain these important and iconic pieces of history.

The historic preservation fee is charged on all goods and services (excluding alcohol) at many of our historic properties around the park.

Glacier Park Fund

Glacier Park Collection is proud to offer our guests an opportunity to support Glacier National Park through the Glacier National Park Conservancy. We deposit 100% of the donations received from our guests to the Glacier National Park Conservancy, a fund that can only be used to support Glacier National Park. A $1 per day donation is added to your room bill. Your support of this program is appreciated, but if you prefer not to participate, simply talk to the front desk.

Standard Cancellation Policy

  • Should you need to cancel a room or activity, please get in touch with our Central Reservations Office via phone at 406.892.2525 or email at [email protected]. Only cancellations processed through this office are guaranteed to be valid. You must receive an identification number and cancellation email for verification purposes. While you can request a cancellation via email, it's only considered valid if you receive a confirmed reply and a cancellation email containing an identification number.
    • All cancellations will be emailed directly to your email with your identifying number, as well as fees charged at that time.
    • For reservations made within 45 days prior to arrival, the below policies apply with no 30-day grace period.
    • A no-show on the date of arrival is considered a cancellation of your entire stay at that property and there will be no refund.
    • Changes to your departure date made after you have stayed your first night will result in a $30 early departure fee.
      • Changes to your departure dates at Prince of Wales made after you have stayed your first night will result in a charge of a 1-night stay.
    • No-show for activities (including Afternoon Tea) will not be refunded.
    • We are unable to deviate from policies due to weather, illness, flight delays, road closures, etc. We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance or our extended cancellation coverage.
  • Extended cancellation coverage may be purchased within 24 hours of reserving your lodging at a cost of 8% of the total lodging reservation cost (before taxes). Extended cancellation coverage is non-refundable.
  • The Cancellation Policies below is only for the following properties: Grouse Mountain Lodge, Glacier Basecamp Lodge, Belton Chalet, West Glacier RV Park & Cabins, Apgar Village Lodge and Cabins, Motel Lake McDonald, St. Mary Village, and Glacier Park Lodge
    • For the Paddle Ridge Cancellation Policy, please scroll down to Specialty Product.
  • For reservations taking place June through September: You have 30 days from the day of making your reservation to cancel for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made 31 days after making the reservation to 14 days before arrival date will result in a $30 fee, per room/slip reservation. Should you cancel your reservation(s) within 14 days of your arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable (no exceptions).
    • If you have purchased our extended cancellation coverage, the 14-day cancellation term is extended to 3 days prior to your arrival date in the above policy.
  • For reservations taking place October through May: You have 30 days from the day of making your reservation to cancel for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made 31 days after making the reservation to 3 days before arrival date will result in a $30 cancellation fee per room/slip. Should you cancel your reservation(s) within the 3 days of arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable (no exceptions).
    • Reservations during this time period do not qualify for the extended cancellation coverage.
  • For specialty product (Paddle Ridge): You have 30 days from the day of making your reservation to cancel for a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made 31 days after making the reservation to 45 days before arrival date will incur 50% of the deposit as a cancellation fee per room. Should you cancel your reservation(s) within the 45 days of arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable (no exceptions).
    • If you have purchased our extended cancellation coverage, the 45-day cancellation term is extended to 14 days prior to your arrival date in the above policy.

Standard Room Reservation and Activity Change Policy

  • One complimentary change is granted per room/slip.
  • After this one-time complimentary change, each call to make changes to that room/slip will be subject to a $30 administrative change fee for bookings on and after November 1, 2023. This includes changes to activities associated with that room/slip. Examples of changes to a room/slip that will incur the administrative change fee include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Changing the date of a room activity, changing the time of the activity, or changing accommodations type or location.

Glacier Raft Company and Glacier Anglers

Deposit Policy: Total cost of the trip is due at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy: Daily trip cancellations can be made 24 hours prior to your trip day. Within 24 hours of your trip departure day, the total cost is non-refundable. Based on space, we may be able to re-schedule within the current season. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your departure time. Multi-day trips can be cancelled until 45 days of the arrival with a cancellation fee of 50% of your deposit. Within 45 days of arrival, the total amount is non-refundable.

Deals, Promotional Rates and Packages

All deals, promotional rates and packages are subject to availability and can change without notice. Offers cannot be combined. Blackout dates apply.

Promo Codes: If you've discovered a promo code that is not advertised on our website that gives a special rate, your booking may be updated to the Best Available Rate for that day without notice. Some codes are intended for staff or special groups and are not valid if you are not part of those intended audiences.

April Fool's Promo: Half-day Rafting trips made on April 1, 2024: Blackout dates (July 1 to August 10) apply. Full payment required at time of booking and is non-refundable. If your travel dates change after booking, you may reschedule your trip up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled trip time at no extra charge (a date must be reserved at the time of booking). Rescheduling your trip during the blackout dates above require a payment for the difference in price. No-shows or same day cancellations are not permitted to reschedule. Additional guests on an existing reservation will be charged at full retail price. Not valid for Dinner Trips, Full Day Trips, Package Trips (Park & Paddle or Putt & Paddle), or Photo Packages
